“Greg, you’ve looked the same for 10 years!”

I actually got this comment just yesterday.

Someone said- “Greg, you’ve looked the same for ten years. Why should I listen to you? You haven’t made progress in a decade.”

To me, that’s actually a compliment.

I got into incredible shape when I was 24.

I didn’t start working out at 21 or even 19—I started with push-ups and weights when I was just 13.

*By 24, I was in insane shape, and now I’m 33.

To have reached and maintained this natural level of fitness consistently for ten years is the goal.

That’s what we’re here to do.

Get into amazing shape, let that enhance and enrich our lives, and maintain it.

Over the past decade, I’ve set different fitness goals to keep things fun.

  • 220-pound weighted dips
  • 380-pound bench press
  • Shoulder pressing 120-pound dumbbells
  • 37-inch vertical jump
  • 5 one-arm chin-ups

But, yes, I don’t look drastically different because I’ve reached a level that I’m satisfied with, and I maintain that.

When you’ve been lifting for 20 years, most of your gains happen in the first few years.

Once you add around 30 pounds of muscle, there’s not much more to gain, especially naturally.

I’ve chosen to stay natural, which is why I still look young at 33.

You see guys who take tons of gear, and by their early thirties, they look years older.

I chose to stay natural because I believe you don’t need to be massive.

A BMI between 24 and 26 with a lean waist, about 44-45% of your height, is where you look your best.

Getting excessively big isn’t healthy.

Even if it’s all muscle – excess weight accelerates aging.

My advice to guys is this.

Get in great shape, build a solid muscle base, and then enjoy your life.

Don’t obsess over fitness alone; instead, level up in other areas.

  • Dial in your style
  • Work on communication and charisma
  • Develop high-income skills
  • Learn to invest
  • Build relationships
  • Try new activities like surfing, boxing, etc.
  • Travel

Once you’re in great shape, focus on creating a balanced, fulfilling life.

It’s also important to avoid injury.

Injuries can derail years of work, especially as you get older.

I know people who had to give up fitness due to injuries from overdoing it, and I don’t want that for myself or anyone else.

Injuries set you back.

And by the time you’re in your 30s and 40s, they’re harder to recover from.

As an advanced lifter, you’ll feel when you’re reaching your limits.

Fitness is about balance.

Yes, I lift heavy, but I also listen to my body and avoid pushing past my safe limits.

My focus now is on maintaining strength and using my fitness to enjoy other parts of life.

If you’re a 9.2 out of 10 in fitness…

Why chase 9.5 when you could improve in other areas?

Once you reach a level you’re satisfied with, you can start putting energy into other things.

Most people never reach their fitness goals.

So they stay stuck focusing on them.

But once you’ve achieved your goals, you can move on to optimizing other parts of your life.

From making money to improving your dating life or building stronger relationships.

So yeah, I may look the same as I did ten years ago, and to that, I say thank you.

I’ve hit my goal, and now I’m here to inspire you to do the same.
