Many people overlook gut health.
But research is showing just how crucial it is to overall health.
It’s tied to immunity, serotonin and mood, energy levels, weight management, avoiding disease, skin health, slower aging, etc.
And the big one?
Improved digestion.
A healthy gut microbiome enables the body to break down food.
You will digest and use the protein in your Kino feast.
There are a few ways that a healthy gut microbiome is tied to building muscle mass.
- Nutrient absorption: Proper nutrient and protein breakdown enables muscles access to amino acids to repair and rebuild.
- Immune function: Avoiding excessive inflammation allows muscles to fully recover between workouts.
- Hormone regulation: Key hormones impacted by gut bacteria affect muscle growth like testosterone and insulin.
- Mitochondrial function: Good gut health provides energy to power through intense training.
It makes sense.
You need to actually digest and break down food properly to get the most benefits.
The food you choose can help feed this bacteria.
This is one of the reasons why I’m so big on potatoes.
Potatoes are loaded with fiber and also have been shown to be one of the most satiating foods you can eat.
Lack of fiber is one of the reasons I don’t like low-carb diets.
Plus, going low carb kills your T levels.
Here are the main ways to improve gut health.
- Eat more fiber and fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, and kimchi.
- Limit processed foods, alcohol, and unnecessary antibiotics.
- Consider taking a probiotic supplement.
I recommend potatoes at dinner.
It’s a good source of fiber.
I like to do Greek Yogurt and collagen protein for lunch.
Yogurt is awesome for gut health, too.
The last thing to ensure the best gut health is to take a good probiotic.
I’ve been taking probiotics for the past 2 years.
Earlier this year, I decided that we needed to offer our own Kinobody probiotic.
We’ve been working on it for the past several months.
And on Tuesday we are going to launch it!
I’ll explain tomorrow why I believe our formula is so effective.
As most of our supplement launches go we will probably sell out here.
So check on the email tomorrow for more details.
