I don’t recommend going over 300 – 400mg of caffeine per day.
This seems to be a good sweet spot for improved performance and alertness without overdoing it and causing energy crashes.
This gives you about 3 times to have caffeine each day.
My favorite benefit of caffeine used to be the energy it provided… but now I really appreciate the “Dopamine Signalling” effect of caffeine.
Dopamine makes you feel motivated, charged, and ready to work.
It’s key to working towards your goals.
It makes work and accomplishment feel good.

If you only take in caffeine, you are only experiencing partial benefits of this Dopamine release.
When you combine Caffeine & L-Theanine, it’s a game changer.
L-Theanine improves mood and focus.
It has a calming effect and induces brainwave patterns similar to those associated with meditation.
Meditation increases theta and alpha waves, which are the brain wave frequencies associated with enhanced learning abilities and overall mental well-being.

Here’s an incredible thing about this herb.
L-Theanine stays in your system for several hours and can get re-activated with caffeine.
I recommend getting caffeine in about 3 times per day.
One serving of Octane and two coffees.
- Octane mixed in cold water 1-2 hours after you wake up
- A cup of coffee 1-3 hours after that
- A cup of coffee 30 minutes before your workout
Remember, the coffee will re-activate the effects of the L-Theanine in the Octane.
So each cup of coffee will give you steady energy and unlock a calm, euphoric feeling.
