2 Other Herbs to Be Cautious Of

There are two other supplements I want to talk about today.

1. The first one is shilajit.

Shilajit is a sticky, tar-like substance that oozes out from between rocks in mountain ranges like the Himalayas.

Over many years, it forms from the slow breakdown of plant matter.

It’s a considered an Herbo-Mineral.

An “herbo-mineral” contains both plant and mineral ingredients, fused together and is often used in Indian medicine.

Some initial studies show that it does increase testosterone, but many believe it is just because it contains both Zinc and Magnesium.

The studies have been small.

They need to do more studies.

I’d like to see a double-blind study where they compared 4 groups of subjects.

  • Placebo Group
  • Shilajit Group
  • Zinc and Magnesium Group
  • Shilajit, Zinc and Magnesium Group

This will show if it’s worth taking over zinc and magnesium alone.

2. The next herb I want to talk about is Ashwagandha.

Ashwagandha is a small woody shrub that grows in parts of India, Africa, and the Middle East.

Ashwagandha is an herb shown to reduce stress and cortisol levels.

It’s common in many T-boosting supplements.

We deliberately left it out for one reason.

It can cause depression and a reduced depth of emotion, leading to emotional numbness and withdrawal.

It really affected me poorly when I took it.

I’m not the only one…

Searching on Google reveals thousands of people suffering from ashwagandha-induced emotional numbness.

This emotional numbness is called “Anhedonia”.

One of the common symptoms is the inability to experience pleasure from activities that were previously enjoyable.

I simply couldn’t include this in Kino Mojo in good conscience.
