If there’s one piece of advice I’d give to most people trying to lose fat is patience.
This doesn’t mean it should take forever to lose fat.
There is just a two-week lag between when you start to diet and when you will see results.
What MOST people do is diet way too f*ckn hard early on.
They still don’t see results…
So they add an insane amount of cardio on top of their long workouts.
*The extreme diet combined with way too much exercise eats away at the muscle.
This approach causes a person to become skinny fat.
They will lose some fat, but the cost of this approach is loss of muscle as well.
If you have ever lost hard-earned muscle in order to get lean, you aren’t alone.
I’ve been there, and it sucks.
It’s a bummer to lose muscle and strength you once had in order to lose body fat.
It doesn’t have to be this way!

The trick is to understand there is a 2-week lag.
You will also want to become stronger in key lifts as you lose body fat.
If your diet creates a deficit and you are gaining strength each and every week, you are on the right path to a chiseled physique.
Once you hit around 10-12% body fat, it does become trickier.
There’s a stronger possibility of a bit of muscle loss once you hit single-digit body fat levels.
