Here’s an interesting thing you may or may not know about body fat.
There’s a 2017 Research article called “Signals from Fat” published on the Harvard Medical School site.
It talks about how fat doesn’t just sit there as a blob.
Body fat actually releases hormones and sends signals to other parts of the body.
The more body fat you carry, the more intense the signals.
*Fat cells produce an enzyme called aromatase that converts testosterone to estrogen.
This estrogen, in turn, increases your body fat…
This added body fat results in even lower testosterone and even more estrogen… adding even more body fat… creating a vicious cycle of fat gain.
The get out of this cycle, I recommend two things.
- Eat in a caloric deficit and lose this body fat ASAP
- Take a supplement that boosts your body’s testosterone
