Fat loss is straightforward.
To lose body fat you need to dial in your diet.
Once you figure out a way to create a sustainable deficit (cough, Masterclass, cough) you will steadily look leaner every few days.
Fat loss WILL slow down a bit once you are close to your goal.
Expect it!
The mistake most people make is pushing harder at this point.
They try to brute force the fat loss.
*It’s not a good idea to train too intensely when body fat is already low and you only have 10 pounds of fat to lose.
Here’s the problem with intense training with a strong calorie deficit.
- It messes with your hormones
- It increases cortisol (makes you gain fat and lose muscle)
- Makes you hungrier than normal
The ironic thing about losing the last 10 pounds is that easy training works better.
At low body fat levels, you need to coax the fat off gently.
You want to be active WITHOUT stressing the body out.
This is when 10,000 steps per day become crucial.
Right now I’d down in Miami…
*I get my steps in daily and will do some fun beach workouts… getting a little leaner each day while working on my tan.This is a much more effective way to get lean.
As far as food goes.
My approach works while vacationing.
- Octane in morning
- Collagen mid-day
- Coffee early afternoon
- Fancy steak and potato dinner
This is absolutely the way to go.
And yes, I’ll have a few poolside margaritas in the afternoon.
